Hello my friend the MLE,
As I'm going to Turkey this weekend, thought why not write a post about this identity for Turkey I found online a few weeks ago...
The logo is a beautiful thing: behold how the patterns are integrated into the wordmark. This is not easily done and it looks great. However, "
Under Consideration," where I got my info from, has a good point when they say that when this logo is printed small, say business-card size, a lot of the detail is going to get muddy and lost - which is a big problem. As they say, "a shorthand version for using as a seal of approval" would be a wise option.
Re the applications, of course the logo all big and 3D on the wall looks great. But the bag and the posters are cold, generic and boring and look more like another country rather than Turkey in my opinion. The identity for Bologna, which is similar, is more successful and rich (see the folders above). And I wonder what's up with the drab colour palette?
Talk when I'm back!
