Hi from Antwerp MLE!
Was a little bit blown away by the Walter Van Beirendonck show at the MoMu (fashion institute/museum) was. It is of course amazing to see his work on the internet. But to get to see the detail, craftsmanship, quality of the fabrics is very exciting.
It is always so refreshing to see a designer actually do something different, that does not look like a predictable page out of GQ or Vogue. Similarly, he tests the limits of beauty and gender, which I love, as he treats both sexes in an truly equal way, which I don't feel many other designers do.
Finally, I love his play with language, it is intelligent, socially aware, witty or just straight up funny.
